Biography of Alimah Mamoona Mohammad Safder
Alimah Mamoona Mohammad Safder, the visionary owner of Hamd Center, is a UAE-born Islamic scholar with a unique blend of academic and spiritual accomplishments. Her educational journey began with a BSc in Business Administration from the American University of Sharjah, followed by an MSc in Human Resource Management from Bradford University in the UK. She further honed her teaching skills with a Diploma in Teaching from Abu Dhabi University and expanded her knowledge through several development short courses at LUMS University.
Initially, she pursued a successful career in the corporate world, working with prestigious multinational companies such as Siemens, PwC, UTS Carrier and more. However, a course in Fiqh sparked her deep interest in Islamic studies, prompting her to leave her professional career and dedicate herself to the pursuit of Islamic knowledge.
She completed the rigorous Darse Nizami program at a respected institution in Dubai. Eager to deepen her spiritual practice, she traveled to Pakistan, where she spent approximately six years under the guidance of Alimah Tahirah Yousuf. During this period, she traversed the spiritual path of Tasawwuf, further solidifying her commitment to Islamic scholarship.
Alimah Mamoona has been granted the authority to teach Hadith by eminent scholars such as Mufti Taqi Usmani, Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi, and Maulana Fazal Rahim, the founder of Jamia Ashrafia.
She is Bayah (a formal spiritual pledge) with Shaykh Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi, reflecting her deep connection to the Naqshbandi Sufi order and her dedication to the spiritual development of her students. Alimah Mamoona’s rich academic background and spiritual guidance make her a respected leader and educator at Hamd Center, where she continues to inspire and educate the next generation of Islamic scholars.
